1. Acceptance and scope
By downloading, installing, initializing, visiting the product page, or using MedCabin, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms and the companion privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app and delete the app and local materials. A minor must have a parent or guardian read and accept these terms.
“We” means the developer and operator of Fly Design. “You” means the person using the app or the authorized person using it for a household. These terms govern the software service only and do not replace an app-store payment agreement, third-party website terms, a medical facility's rules, or mandatory law.
2. The service and current features
MedCabin is an on-device tool for individuals and households. Current features include package photo capture and editing, on-device OCR and barcode parsing, medicine and visit records, PDF export, backup import and export, transfer between two devices over local Wi-Fi or a personal hotspot, a read-only summary on Apple Watch and Wear OS watches, app lock, biometrics, local encryption, and annual or one-time entitlements sold through an app store. Current features include reminders and calendar support. With your permission, the app may add, update, or delete medicine-expiry and medical-visit reminders in an authorized system calendar.
Image recognition runs on device, and voice input uses system services with your permission. Features, limits, compatibility, interface text, and prices may vary by version, region, operating system, and store policy.
3. Medical boundaries and emergencies
The app is not a medical device, telemedicine, consultation, prescription, pharmacist, diagnostic, or emergency service. It does not replace a clinician, pharmacist, package instructions, regulatory notices, or emergency services, and it makes no decision about authenticity, indications, contraindications, interactions, dosage, pediatric use, pregnancy, breastfeeding, or treatment outcomes.
Visit timelines, on-device OCR fields, and PDFs are reference materials for you or a qualified professional to verify. In an emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.
4. OCR, speech, and accuracy
Blur, glare, occlusion, vertical text, printed codes, batch numbers, and date formats can cause on-device recognition or system transcription to produce typos, omissions, reordered text, reversed dates, confused batches, or wrong fields. Recognition and transcription are not factual guarantees or medical advice.
Before saving, taking, purchasing, discarding, or showing medicine information to a clinician, compare it with the physical package, instructions, lawful purchase record, and professional advice.
5. Eligibility, content, and your responsibilities
You must have capacity to enter this agreement or use the app with a guardian's authorization. You represent that you have lawful permission to enter, import, share, and transfer household, medicine, photo, visit, and health materials, and that doing so does not violate another person's privacy, image, copyright, trade-secret, or other rights.
When enabling calendar reminders, confirm that you have the necessary authority for the calendar and household members involved, and review the calendar, event title, date, time, time zone, location, and reminder recipient before saving. Reminders are a convenience feature and do not guarantee that you take medicine or attend a visit; incorrect expiry or visit dates can create incorrect reminders. You may not use the app for unlicensed medicine sales, unlawful medical activity, fabricated records, fraud, harassment, malicious scanning, bypassing payment or security controls, distributing malware, disrupting networks, or violating another person's information. Protect your system lock, app password, backup files, and transfer codes. You are responsible for actions made through your device or account.
6. Local records, app lock, and encryption
The app does not require a cloud account. You can enable AES-256-GCM encryption for local records and app-managed attachments. App lock controls entry, while the local system secure store manages the data key. These are different protections; the screen-lock password does not directly encrypt all data. System photos, calendars, PDFs you share, and copies in other apps are outside this setting.
Protect your device screen lock, app password, and separate backup password. Incorrect passwords trigger increasing waiting periods during which neither passwords nor biometrics can open the app. We cannot remove that lock remotely. Uninstallation, clearing data, lost keys, or device damage may result in unrecoverable loss. We do not hold your keys or backup passwords and cannot provide remote recovery.
7. Backup, import, export, transfer, and calendar events
Exported backups use a separate password, Argon2id key derivation, and AES-256-GCM encryption; we cannot reset a lost password. The app supports importing plaintext backups. Imported data is saved according to the receiving device settings; the original file is not automatically encrypted. Device transfer requires scanning the current session QR code and uses ephemeral key agreement and authenticated encryption. Confirm the device in person and protect the QR code.
Backup and transfer are convenience features you start; they are not cloud hosting or professional data recovery. An export may contain complete medicine, photo, household, and visit information. Check the recipient, file contents, and sharing target before sending. Once a file leaves the app, an email, drive, messenger, printer, or other device may copy, index, forward, or retain it.
Calendar reminders are also a convenience feature. Deleting a medicine or visit record in the app does not mean every related system-calendar event will be removed automatically; the app will attempt to update or delete only events it created or that you expressly linked and can still access. Events may also be changed, duplicated, delayed, or deleted by you, the operating system, the calendar provider, or another device. We are not responsible for calendar outages, sync conflicts, duplicate events, or calendar data loss.
Before importing an external file, confirm that its source is trusted and that you have the right to use it. Malicious, damaged, expired, or incompatible files may fail to import, duplicate content, or replace local data. Read the in-app warning and create a backup when appropriate.
8. External websites, networks, and third-party services
Barcodes, traceability codes, and package links may open third-party websites. Their content, accuracy, privacy, and security are their responsibility.
System speech, app stores, system calendars, system sharing, PDF and printing, and other platform components are subject to their own terms. A calendar provider may sync reminder events that you authorize to its cloud account or other devices; this is not cloud synchronization of your records by Fly Design.
9. Subscriptions, one-time purchases, prices, and refunds
Some features are offered as an annual subscription or one-time purchase through Google Play or the Apple App Store. Product IDs, prices, currencies, trials, renewal, cancellation, refunds, taxes, receipts, and payment disputes are governed by the applicable store. Displayed prices can differ by region, account, tax, or store cache.
Before purchasing, confirm the store account, product, period, and price. Automatic renewal, cancellation, and refund windows follow the store order page and policy. Store confirmation delays, device incompatibility, and network failures may prevent price loading or entitlement confirmation. Do not pay repeatedly; check the order state and contact the store first.
We do not store your complete card number or bank credential. Store-confirmed entitlements enable only features covered by the order and this app policy; they are not medical services or a promise of data recovery.
10. Intellectual property and limited license
The app name, icon, interface, code, text, visual elements, and materials other than your submissions belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property law. As long as you comply with these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use the app on a compatible device you own or control.
You retain rights in the information, photos, and files you enter or import. You grant us only the technical license necessary to run a feature you request, such as processing, transferring, generating a PDF, completing a device-to-device transfer, or providing support. We do not acquire ownership of your medicine records.
11. Updates, suspension, and termination
We may release updates, fix vulnerabilities, adjust recognition models, replace components, change free limits, or stop a feature that is no longer safe or sustainable, including calendar reminders. Install updates provided by your app store to maintain system compatibility and security. Export a backup before updating when appropriate, and review any calendar events the app has created.
You may stop using the app, delete it, and delete backups at any time. If you materially violate law or these terms, attack the service, evade security controls, or create risks for others, we may restrict or stop a feature to the extent allowed by law. Termination does not affect accrued payment obligations, intellectual property, liability limits, dispute terms, or provisions intended to survive.
12. As-is service and liability limits
The app organizes information. Recognition, system reminders, networks, and compatibility across devices can fail. We take reasonable measures to maintain functionality and security but do not guarantee perfect accuracy, perpetual availability, or suitability for every purpose. Keep necessary originals and independent backups and verify health-related information.
These terms do not exclude or limit liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude, including applicable liability for fraud, intentional conduct, gross negligence, or personal injury, and consumers’ statutory guarantees and rights to repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund for digital content or services. Any legally permitted limitation is interpreted only to the extent allowed by law in your location. Free use does not remove mandatory protections. We do not transfer our own legal responsibilities to you.
13. Indemnity and third-party rights
To the extent allowed by law, if your breach of these terms, unlawful use, unauthorized handling of another person's information, infringing content, or intentional damage causes a claim, fine, loss, or reasonable cost for us or a third party, you are responsible to the extent of your responsibility and will reasonably assist with the response. This does not require you to cover our own unlawful conduct or negligence.
The app may include open-source software or platform components. Their licenses, notices, and disclaimers continue to apply; these terms do not reduce rights granted by mandatory law or a third-party license.
14. Changes, governing law, and disputes
We give appropriate advance notice of material changes and obtain consent where required. Updates do not retroactively reduce acquired mandatory rights. You may stop using the app and export records before deleting them. Purchased entitlements, cancellation, and refunds follow store rules and applicable consumer law.
The product serves users in different countries and regions. These terms do not remove mandatory consumer protections in your habitual residence or legal rights to seek relief in local courts or from regulators. We do not require mandatory arbitration, a waiver of class-action rights, or exclusive proceedings in a foreign court under this clause. You may first contact us to seek resolution. If a dispute remains unresolved, applicable law and competent courts are determined by relevant law.
15. Contact and language
Contact flydesign.app@gmail.com about service, purchase, privacy, or security questions. Do not send passwords, full payment details, or unnecessary health information. Purchase support may require minimal order verification. Publisher details appear on the app store developer page.
All language versions are intended to express the same meaning and are provided for your use. Differences are interpreted consistently with the purpose of the relevant provision and applicable mandatory consumer protections. Your choice of language does not reduce your rights.
